Global Village Season 31 opens on Wednesday 14 October 2026 and runs to May 2027, with no exact closing date yet. Gates open at 16:00 every day, closing at midnight Sunday to Wednesday and 01:00 Thursday to Saturday, and Tuesdays are reserved for families, couples and ladies. Season 31 gate prices had not been announced on 24 September 2026. The easiest way to go is an entry ticket with a hotel transfer, from ~AED 198.

When does Global Village open in 2026 – and when does it close?
Global Village Season 31 opens on Wednesday 14 October 2026 and runs to May 2027, according to the official globalvillage.ae plan-your-visit page, checked on 24 September 2026. Dubai media including What's On and Time Out Dubai reported in mid-September that gates open at 18:00 on opening night – two hours later than a normal evening. The season's theme is "A More Wonderful World".
There is no published closing date – only "May 2027". Don't fix a late-May trip around a date you've read elsewhere: last season was extended, and Season 30 closed on Sunday 31 May 2026. If you're travelling in May 2027, check the official site before you book.
Between seasons the park shuts completely – in 2026 it was closed from 1 June to 13 October. If your trip falls in that summer gap, the Dubai Frame is a year-round alternative that stays open until 21:00, with sunset views over old and new Dubai.
What are the opening hours – and what is Tuesday?
Global Village is an evening park: every day of Season 31, the gates open at 16:00, per the official site on 24 September 2026. Closing time depends on the day.

Tuesdays – except those that fall on a public holiday – are reserved exclusively for families, couples and ladies, so a group of men travelling without family should pick another evening.
How much is entry – and what costs extra?
Season 31 entry prices had not been published on 24 September 2026 – the official site says only that Season 31 entry tickets "will be available soon". Some websites already list a Season 31 gate price; until it appears on globalvillage.ae, treat it as a guess. For scale, Gulf News reported that last season's entry tickets cost ~AED 25 from Sunday to Thursday and ~AED 30 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Entry gets you into the park, not onto the rides. Rides and attractions at Carnaval, the funfair area, are paid separately with the Wonder Pass, a rechargeable card loaded with points. Individual ride prices weren't published when we checked, so budget for them on top of the gate.
VIP packs go on public sale on 26 September 2026, exclusively through the Coca-Cola Arena website, with Gold (~AED 2,490) and Platinum (~AED 3,490) between the two tiers above. With 100 or more entries each, they're built for residents who visit all season, not for a one-night trip.
The official site confirms free entry for People of Determination and one companion. Gulf News also lists children under three and senior citizens as free, but Season 31's full ticket terms aren't out yet – confirm before you go.

Is Global Village worth it?
Yes, if you want a busy evening of street food, market stalls, stage shows and rides; no, if you're after an authentic cultural experience. The park is built around country and regional pavilions – from Egypt, Morocco and Turkey to India, China and Japan, according to the official pavilion list – and the offer inside them is largely shopping and food.
The "tourist trap" verdict you'll find on Reddit is easy to understand: anyone expecting culture will find a market. The same crowds, lights and food stalls are exactly what its fans come back for, and the Tuesday families-only rule makes it one of the easier evenings out in Dubai with children.
It suits families, groups who like to graze their way through a night market, and anyone happy to shop. It suits you less if you dislike crowds, or if you only have two or three days and haven't yet done the Burj Khalifa or a desert safari.
The gate is the cheap part. Rides on Wonder Pass points, food, and a taxi or paid parking are what decide the cost of the night, so set a budget for each before you arrive.
What is the best time to go – and how long do you need?
Our recommendation: arrive between 16:00 and 17:00, walk the pavilions in the last of the daylight and stay for the lights after dark. Dubai's sunset falls at about 17:30 in December and about 19:00 in late May, so an early arrival gives you both. For the most comfortable temperatures, aim for December to February, when evenings are at their coolest.
Plan on about three hours for a first visit – enough to walk the main pavilions, eat and catch a show – or longer with children who want the rides. The transfer ticket above is built around roughly four hours door to door.
Global Village pairs well with Dubai Miracle Garden, about 11 km away by road on the same October-to-May calendar. Khaleej Times reported on 21 September 2026 that Miracle Garden's season 15 opens on 8 October 2026, six days before Global Village. The garden opened from 09:00 last season, so do the garden in the afternoon and Global Village in the evening.
How do you get to Global Village – bus, metro, taxi or car?
There's no metro station at Global Village, but four seasonal RTA bus routes link it to the metro, according to the official site on 24 September 2026:
- Bus 102: from Centrepoint Metro Station
- Bus 103: from Union Metro Station
- Bus 104: from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station
- Bus 106: from Mall of the Emirates Metro Station
The official site says the buses usually run 15:15–23:15 daily, with 30 minutes of travel time. The park stays open until midnight or 01:00, so if you plan to stay until closing, budget for a taxi back. Careem, Uber and RTA taxis all serve the site.
Driving? Parking zones P1, P3 and P5 are free. Zones P7–P11 are also free but open only on weekends, public holidays and busy days; they sit about 1 km from the Cultural Gate, linked by a free shuttle bus or a rickshaw from ~AED 10. Paid parking costs ~AED 120 a day, "Paid Parking 2" ~AED 75 and VIP parking ~AED 200.
If you'd rather skip the bus changes and the parking hunt, the entry-plus-hotel-transfer ticket above is the door-to-door option.
What is there to eat?
Food is the easiest part of a Global Village evening to plan: dining is one of the main sections of the official site, alongside the pavilions, Carnaval and the shows. Expect sit-down restaurants and cafés as well as street-food stalls across the park, plus snacks and sweets sold inside the country pavilions.
