Is Aquaventure in Dubai or the Bahamas?
Both โ two Atlantis resorts each have a waterpark called Aquaventure. One is at Atlantis Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas; the other is Aquaventure World at Atlantis, The Palm, on the crescent of Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. If a search result mentions Nassau or Paradise Island, it's the Bahamas park.
Every price, ride and opening time in this guide is for Dubai's Aquaventure World, run by Atlantis The Palm and billed by its operator as the world's largest waterpark.
Which Aquaventure ticket should you buy?
Buy the day pass with the Lost World Aquarium. It adds the revamped aquarium that took over from The Lost Chambers โ 14 chambers and around 65,000 marine animals โ for ~AED 20 more on both GetYourGuide and the official site. Book the plain day pass on GetYourGuide only if you'll spend every hour on the slides.
Staying at Atlantis changes the maths: rooms at Atlantis, The Palm and Atlantis The Royal include Aquaventure, and hotel guests get early access before day visitors. The Palm Jumeirah hotel guide compares the two resorts.
How much are Aquaventure tickets?
The official site listed the waterpark day pass from ~AED 230 and the waterpark-plus-aquarium pass from ~AED 250 on 19 September 2026, both with a free second day until 30 September. GetYourGuide's prices for the same official tickets were higher:
| Ticket | Official site (from) | GetYourGuide (from) |
|---|---|---|
| Waterpark Day Pass | ~AED 230 | ~AED 286 |
| Waterpark + Lost World Aquarium | ~AED 250 | ~AED 305 |
| Waterpark + Dolphin Encounter | ~AED 549 | ~AED 723 |
| 7-Day Pass (waterpark + aquarium) | ~AED 420 | โ |
GetYourGuide's case is flexibility: free cancellation up to 24 hours before, in one app with the rest of your Dubai bookings. GetYourGuide prices are converted from US dollars at the fixed peg of 3.6725 dirhams to the dollar.
Tickets are priced by height, not just age. The adult rate applies from age 7 or over 1.2 m, the child rate to ages 3โ6 under 1.2 m, and children aged 2 and under go free with ID.
What are the best rides at Aquaventure?
Leap of Faith is the ride everyone asks about: a near-vertical drop from nine storeys up, through a tunnel in a shark-filled lagoon. It sits on Neptune Tower, one of the park's three towers alongside Trident and Legendary.
- Odyssey of Terror: billed by the park as the world's tallest waterslide.
- Shark Attack: an inner-tube ride through a clear tunnel with a 360-degree view of the shark lagoon.
- Stinger, Falls, Plunge, Surge and The Storm: tube rides from different heights of Neptune Tower.
- Surf's Up: a wave rider for bodyboarding.
- Splashers: four kids' zones, billed as the world's largest dedicated kids' area.
Some rides need riders over 1.2 m. For a slower day, there's the lazy river and the private Aquaventure Beach.
Aquaventure or Wild Wadi: which Dubai waterpark is better?
Aquaventure is the bigger, more thrill-heavy park; Wild Wadi is smaller, older and next to the Burj Al Arab. Both open 10:00โ18:00 daily.
| Aquaventure World | Wild Wadi | |
|---|---|---|
| Location | Atlantis, The Palm, Palm Jumeirah | Umm Suqeim, next to Jumeirah Beach Hotel |
| Size | 105+ slides and attractions | 30+ rides |
| Headline rides | Leap of Faith, Odyssey of Terror | Jumeirah Sceirah, Tantrum Alley, Master Blasters |
| Extras | Lost World Aquarium, private beach | Burj Al Arab views, lazy river |
| Included with a stay at | Atlantis The Palm, Atlantis The Royal | Jumeirah Beach Hotel |
Choose Aquaventure for a full day of big slides plus the aquarium. Choose Wild Wadi for a smaller day out, or if you're staying at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, whose rate includes it โ see the best hotels on Jumeirah Beach. Wild Wadi was closed for an extended period in 2026 before reopening, so check its hours before you go.
How do you get to Aquaventure?
The Palm Monorail runs from Palm Gateway, which connects to the Dubai Tram, to Atlantis Aquaventure station at the waterpark. It resumed in June 2026 after a maintenance suspension.
- Taxi: ask for Aquaventure Waterpark; you're dropped at The Avenues at Atlantis, The Palm, a short walk from the Ticketing Plaza.
- Car: turn right at the first roundabout after the Atlantis tunnel for Aquaventure parking, then take the free shuttle.
- From the airport: about 35 minutes' drive from Dubai International (DXB).
Can you visit Aquaventure without staying at Atlantis?
Yes โ day passes are sold to anyone, no hotel booking needed. Guests at the two Atlantis resorts get access included and early entry. Children must be at least 12 to enter without an adult.
For a waterpark stay with the whole family, our family hotels guide covers Atlantis alongside other resorts with waterparks included.
For adults, Aquaventure After Dark runs on Friday 9 October 2026 from 20:00 to midnight, for ages 13 and up. Tickets cost ~AED 199 from 21 September, or from ~AED 135 as an add-on to a day pass.
What should you bring to Aquaventure?
Bring swimwear, a towel and money for a locker โ outside food and drink aren't allowed. Towels are rented from ~AED 35 and lockers from ~AED 80. One-pieces, bikinis, rash guards, board shorts and burkinis are all fine; thongs, see-through swimwear, underwear, denim and loose clothing such as abayas aren't allowed in the water.
The AquaXpress fast pass costs ~AED 225โ795 depending on the date. Private cabanas and reserved premium seats with butler service are sold on the official booking site, priced by date.
Is Aquaventure worth it?
Yes, if you give it the full day. At ~AED 250โ305 with the aquarium, that buys eight hours, 105-plus attractions and a beach. Reviews of the GetYourGuide tickets sit around 4.5โ across thousands of reviews, and one September reviewer noted shorter queues than in peak season.
Buy the aquarium combo, arrive at 10:00, and book direct before 30 September if you want the free second day.
