Best Hotels on Jumeirah Beach, Dubai: Madinat, Umm Suqeim and the Burj Al Arab Coast (2026)

Book Jumeirah Beach Hotel for a family trip – the rate includes the Wild Wadi waterpark and every room faces the Burj Al Arab – or Jumeirah Al Qasr at Madinat Jumeirah for the Arabian-palace resort. This is the Umm Suqeim coast, not JBR, and the most seasonal area we priced: Jumeirah Beach Hotel ran ~€267 a night in July and ~€878 in November in our September 2026 sample.

Where is Jumeirah Beach, and is it the same as JBR?

Jumeirah Beach is the older stretch of Dubai's coast running from Jumeirah through Umm Suqeim to Madinat Jumeirah, around the Burj Al Arab. JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence) is a different place: the beachfront edge of Dubai Marina, further along the coast.

The names trip up hotels too. Hilton Dubai Jumeirah, The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai and Address Beach Resort all stand at JBR, whatever their marketing says about Jumeirah Beach – they belong with the Dubai Marina and JBR hotels. The Palm is another trap: "Jumeirah" is also a hotel brand, which is why Jumeirah-branded hotels here turn up in Palm Jumeirah searches.

Is the Burj Al Arab open?

No – the Burj Al Arab closed on 15 April 2026 for an 18-month restoration, with reopening expected around late 2027. You can't book a room there for now, but it remains the landmark this whole stretch is built around.

See it free from the public beaches in Umm Suqeim, or book a room at Jumeirah Beach Hotel next door, where every room faces the Gulf and the Burj Al Arab. The "seven-star" label you'll see is a media nickname; officially, it's a five-star deluxe hotel.

Which Jumeirah Beach hotel is best for families?

Jumeirah Beach Hotel

Jumeirah Beach Hotel's rate includes unlimited Wild Wadi waterpark access through a private entrance – a big draw for families. The wave-shaped hotel has a private beach, five pools and more than ten restaurants and bars, and Booking.com notes a recent refurbishment of its rooms and public areas.

Souk Madinat Jumeirah is a 10-minute walk away, and guest scores sit in the Excellent band. It is also the clearest example of how seasonal this coast is: ~€267 a night in July against ~€878 in November in our sample. Wild Wadi had an extended closure for part of 2026, well beyond its usual short January maintenance window, before reopening – check its current hours before you book.

Jumeirah Al Qasr or Al Naseem: which Madinat Jumeirah hotel?

Madinat Jumeirah is a resort complex of waterways, gardens and the Souk Madinat Jumeirah, with three main hotels. Mina A'Salam (2003) is the informal, family-leaning one; Al Qasr (2004) is styled as a traditional Arabian palace; Al Naseem (2016) is the contemporary one. Al Qasr and Al Naseem are the two to compare.

Jumeirah Al Qasr

Al Qasr is the palace of the complex: around 290 rooms and suites in traditional Arabian style, on a private beach, with the Talise spa and its overwater treatment rooms. The Jumeirah Circle kids' club and family pools make it work for children as well as couples.

Guest scores sit in the Superb band, and it sells half and full board on Booking.com. Rates ran from ~€354 in July to ~€1,154 in November – more than three times as much for the winter date.

Jumeirah Al Naseem

Al Naseem opened in 2016 as Madinat's modern wing, with 430 rooms and a lighter, contemporary design. Its standout is the Turtle Lagoon, home to the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project, which families can visit on site; Kayto serves Nikkei food, and the Jumeirah Circle kids' club is here too.

Pick Al Naseem for a modern room and a quieter family feel, Al Qasr for the palace atmosphere. Al Naseem cost more in our sample – ~€529 in July and ~€1,547 in November – with guest scores also in the Superb band.

Which Jumeirah Beach resorts are worth the top rates?

Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab

Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab opened in March 2025 in Umm Suqeim, the newest resort on this list, with 386 rooms and suites, 82 serviced residences and its own marina. It has a private beach, an infinity pool and an indoor pool, and Jumeira Public Beach is a six-minute walk away.

Early guest reviews sit in the Superb band, but on hundreds rather than thousands of reviews. Rates ran from ~€878 in July to ~€1,605 in November.

Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach

This is the Four Seasons on Jumeirah Road, not the Four Seasons in DIFC – two different hotels that both get called "Four Seasons Dubai". The beach resort has the Mercury Rooftop bar with Burj Khalifa views, tennis and padel courts, a children's programme and private cabanas and day villas for guests.

Bvlgari Resort Dubai

Bvlgari sits on Jumeira Bay Island, a seahorse-shaped island joined to the Jumeirah coast by a 300m bridge, with 101 rooms and suites, 20 villas, a private marina and the La Spiaggia beach club on its own private beach. There is a 1,700m² spa, and the Burj Khalifa is about 4km away.

Guest scores sit in the Exceptional band, on a few hundred reviews. Our November 2026 date cost ~€1,314 a night; July 2027 wasn't on sale yet. This is the most private stay on the coast rather than a family resort.

One and Only Royal Mirage

One&Only Royal Mirage is further along the coast in Al Sufouh, facing the Palm, with around 1km of beach and 65 acres of gardens. Booking.com lists two sections, the Arabian Court and The Residence, while The Palace wing is being refreshed. Guests get complimentary Aquaventure access at Atlantis The Palm.

There is a kids' club set inside an Arabian-style fort, and half-board rates are available. Rates ran from ~€326 in July to ~€747 in November, the lowest November rate of any resort on this list, with guest scores in the Excellent band.

Is Jumeirah Beach free?

Yes – the public beaches along this coast are free. Kite Beach in Umm Suqeim 1 is open around the clock, with showers and changing rooms, water sports and a view of the Burj Al Arab, and Sunset Beach is a short walk along the sand. The resort beaches are private: for guests, or for anyone who buys a day pass.

There is no budget tier on Jumeirah Beach. The lowest rate we found was Jumeirah Beach Hotel at ~€267 in July; in November, nothing on this list cost less than ~€747.
