Which is the most luxurious hotel in Dubai right now?
With the Burj Al Arab closed, two resorts set the bar in 2026: Atlantis The Royal for scale and restaurants, Bvlgari for privacy. Both sit in the top guest-score bands on Booking.com, and they suit very different trips.
Atlantis The Royal
Atlantis The Royal opened in February 2023 on the Palm's crescent, next door to the original Atlantis, with 16 restaurants and bars – seven from celebrity chefs, one with a Michelin star – a sky pool and rooms, suites and penthouses that include some with private pools. Guests also get the Aquaventure waterpark.

Bvlgari Resort Dubai
Bvlgari Resort Dubai sits on Jumeira Bay Island, a seahorse-shaped island reached by a 300m bridge, with 101 rooms and suites, 20 villas with their own pools, a private marina and yacht club, and the La Spiaggia beach club. The island setting makes it feel far more private than the big resorts, and it scores in the Exceptional band, on a few hundred reviews.

Which luxury beach resorts in Dubai are worth the money?
One and Only The Palm
One&Only The Palm is a small resort by Dubai standards – 94 rooms, suites and villas around Andalusian-style gardens and a private beach. Chef Yannick Alléno runs its restaurants, including the two-Michelin-star STAY, and the beachfront junior suites have private pools.

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai
Mandarin Oriental Jumeira is a beach resort a short drive from the city, on Jumeirah Beach Road in Jumeirah 1, 250m from Mercato Mall and about 10 minutes from DIFC. Its Portuguese restaurant, Tasca, holds a Michelin star, and Club rooms add a lounge with skyline views.

Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach
Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach is the calm, low-key choice on Jumeirah Road – a private beach, the Mercury Rooftop bar with Burj Khalifa views, tennis and padel, and cabanas for guests. It is not the Four Seasons in DIFC, a separate city hotel.

Address Downtown
Address Downtown is the luxury pick for Burj Khalifa views, on the Boulevard with direct access to Dubai Mall and the fountain lake below. The Lana, Dorchester Collection
The Lana opened in February 2024 as the Dorchester Collection's first Middle East hotel, on Marasi Drive in Business Bay, with a rooftop pool, a Dior Spa and Jara by Martín Berasategui. It had the smallest seasonal swing of the luxury picks here: ~AED 2,360 in July, ~AED 2,780 in November. More in the Business Bay and DIFC guide.
What is the cheapest luxury hotel in Dubai?
Five-star doesn't have to mean AED 4,000 a night. Two hotels in our sample came in at around AED 1,000 or less for a July night – and for every hotel we could price in both seasons except Atlantis The Royal, summer was the cheaper date.
Raffles The Palm
Raffles The Palm sits on the Palm's West Crescent with a 500m private beach and a 3,000m² spa with 23 treatment rooms. Half-board and full-board rates are sold on Booking.com, and guest scores sit in the Superb band. It cost ~AED 1,020 in July and ~AED 1,810 in November.
Grosvenor House, a Luxury Collection Hotel
Grosvenor House is the twin-tower landmark on the Dubai Marina promenade, with two spas, two pools and a guest score in the Exceptional band. At ~AED 820 in July and ~AED 1,260 in November, it was the cheapest five-star on this list. Other Marina options are in the best hotels in Dubai Marina and JBR.
Is there a 7-star hotel in Dubai?
No. No official hotel classification goes above five stars, and "seven-star" is a decades-old media nickname for the Burj Al Arab, which is officially rated five-star deluxe. The hotel itself closed on 15 April 2026 for an 18-month restoration, with reopening expected around late 2027.

What is the most expensive hotel in Dubai, and is there an underwater room?
The most expensive suite on public record is the Royal Mansion at Atlantis The Royal, reported from around US$100,000 (about AED 367,000) a night – a four-bedroom duplex on the 18th and 19th floors. Rates are given on request.
Dubai has no underwater hotel, but it has two underwater suites. Atlantis The Palm's Poseidon and Neptune suites have their entrance at ground level and their bedroom and bathroom below the waterline, with windows onto the Ambassador Lagoon aquarium. The Muraka, the underwater villa often mentioned alongside them, is in the Maldives.
Which luxury hotels in Dubai have a private pool?
For a pool of your own, look to the resorts rather than the city towers. Atlantis The Royal sells rooms and suites with private pools, One&Only The Palm's beachfront junior suites each have one, and Bvlgari's 20 villas come with pools, gardens and sea views. On the Palm, Anantara's Beach Pool Villas are another route to the same thing.
